Residential Metal Roof Tools
At a recent home show, we overheard a somewhat heated discussion between a young couple. One of them felt they simply couldn't complete a necessary home repair without buying a 90-degree angle drill, and the other couldn't understand why one of the three drills at home wouldn't work.
Sound familiar? Chances are we've all been on one side or the other of that conversation. And while none of us like buying tools that don't see much use, the reality is that you need the right tools to make most projects happen. That's certainly the case with metal roofing.
The good news is that you probably already have most of the necessary tools to install residential metal roofing like those listed below:
- Tape Measure
- Framing Square
- Speed Square
- Drill and Various Drivers
- Utility Blade
- Rubber Mallet
- Chalk Box
- Hammer
- Caulk Gun
- Pliers
- Torpedo Level with Magnet
- Ladders
- Safety Equipment
In addition to the workhorses above though, you'll also benefit from a few specialty tools like these:
- Turbo Shear
- Multiple Styles of Snips
- 6" Hand Seamer
- Hemming Tool
Like any other project, having the right tools before tackling a metal roofing project makes the job quicker, and easier and usually produces a better-looking final result. If you have other questions about how to get started installing metal roofing, contact us. We're here to help!
