Corporate Traffic Manager put in 46 years with manufacturer

BOSSIER CITY, La., February 5, 2015 – Johnnie Hoell retired from McElroy Metal on January 30, after 46 years with the metal roofing and components manufacturer.

Hoell retired as the Corporate Traffic Manager at McElroy Metal and was honored with a “rolling tribute,” a congratulatory note on the side of a truck. He is the last remaining employee hired by Thomas McElroy Sr., the founder of the company, known to his charges as Mr. Mac.

“Johnnie Hoell wore many hats in his time here and has seen a lot of changes in our industry and our company,” says Ian McElroy, the third-generation president of the company founded in 1963. “Johnnie has been here from almost the very beginning. He will be missed in our offices, but he certainly has earned the opportunity to enjoy a long and healthy retirement.”
