Product Spotlight: Maxima Family

The 9,821 sq. ft. Marlboro Ridge Equestrian Facility Horse Barn in Upper Marlboro, Maryland was constructed using Max-Rib Evergreen for the roof and Max-Rib Surrey Beige for the walls. It was voted the National Frame Builders Association's "Building of the Year" in the category for Horse Barns greater than 5,000 square feet. The barn has 22 stalls, a large tack room, office, laundry, three restrooms, a finished apartment for a full-time groundskeeper, hay storage, feed rooms and a stand-alone utility room. The award-winning contractor was Foug/InterBuild, Purcellville, VA.
Technical Tips
- Panels stored on the job site should be covered and elevated on one end to allow drainage.
- Pre-drilling holes into thru-fastened wall sheeting helps ensure nice, straight fastener lines on the building, and reduces sharp metal shavings that could cut the washer seal.
